What's Next? 'Education'

'What's Next?' is a series of talks and workshops at the KK OUTLET in London, looking at young people's views on Economy, Equality, Education & Politics. This week a panel of creative heavyweights are discussing the value of university education in light of the steep rise in tuition fees, questioning if internships are gloried free labour and considering how the new fees could create a culture of elitism within education.

To bring the discussion to life I created an ornate blackletter script, the type of which is often found on bank notes, certificates and official documents. To give the piece a sense of tension, energy and revolt I then added some explosive lines and cracks to communicate how the traditional value of Education is in question.

The art work is hand-lettered and finished in illustrator and photoshop. Please see attachments for full artwork.
