Fancy Champs and the Bad Rhabby - The Rhabby

It was quite tricky figuring out how to depict cancer in a kids book. We didn't want it to look too scary but we also didn't want kids being to fond of this particular character! It had to be the right amount of sinister. In the end I figured a spider-like dividing cell might work, with blue spots (rhabdomyosarcoma is a small round blue cell tumour).

I knew I'd got it right when Flynn saw the character and called it 'bad'. Bad is what I was aiming for.

So now, onwards to Proton Beam Therapy. We are going to Florida next month. We are incredibly lucky that the NHS will pay for this treatment and will fly Flynn, my husband and myself out there. However, we need to raise money to take our daughter Casey with us and pay for all the additional costs involved.

If you could please share our fundraising link or spare anything towards our fundraising we would be incredibly grateful. You can find the page here: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/supportforflynn
