Octopus logo for Saint Soto

Been working on something fresh for the studio branding of Saint Soto. I wanted to incorporate the SS initials in some sort of monogram but also wanted some sort of totem with meaning to represent the space but also add a touch of whimsy.

Definitely didn't wanna play into any sort of religious aspect even though "Saint" is in the name. The name is derived from my old & new hometowns: DeSoto & Saint Louis.

V1 was a hybrid of my old bigtoygun logo & the S is influenced from my current selection of brand font: HK Kontrast Bold (which may be changing)

Loving the direction. Probably gonna make some minor tweaks still but it's definitely on it's way to finished.
