Instagram Challenge Course

This is the key to all good marketing for artists and makers, we just have to remember to do it. I break down how to do this the right way in my Instagram Course for Artists.

The only way for people to find you is if you find a way to attract them. You gotta make some noise with all those beautiful things you make not just finish a project to just move on to the next thing. Next time you are working on a personal project, creating a new product, or designing something awesome for a client, remember to document your process along the way.

Who says you can only post once about a project on Instagram? With only 3% of your audience seeing your grid in the first place you have to repeat yourself just so your followers can stay updated. You can show off those sketches, the final reveal, and then use mockups and flat lay photography to help your artwork come to life. You just tripled your presence on Instagram all because you remembered to take more pictures!

This way of thinking is also the best way to keep your portfolio updated with new work. Now that you got the photos, you can easily explain your design decisions for your projects every step along the way. By writing more around your process clients get a better idea of what it’s like to work with you. Plus you are only making yourself look more expensive by showing all the steps and hours it took you to make that beautiful thing. It doesn't matter if it’s real client work or not, you just gotta prove to the world that you know what you’re doing so clients can trust you with their money.

Marketing is just a fancy way of talking about yourself. It doesn't have to be overly salesy, just honest. Get more organized with your grid and sign up for my Instagram for Artists course that is available now with just 3 spots left. It comes with 12 hours of lecture, community support on your posts, and personalized feedback from yours truly.
