Jaku on the Retina drug

DPI is like a drug: too much is dangerous. Too little is boring. But just enough is... wow! At ~330 DPI, so much is eaten that I often have a hard time putting in the detail I want. At ~260 DPI, it works quite well, though text suffers. Rumormill says a 4" iPhone (and a 7" iPad). That would be ~290 and an insane ~360 DPI, respectively. The former I think would be the perfect balance between text and pixel work. ~360 DPI is just way to over the top.

In any case, the new iPad is quite pleasurable to work on, if for nothing else than the added real estate (2048px vs. 960px).
