After graduating from high school in 2000 I enrolled as an illustration major at Central Connecticut State University.
I drew. I drank. I didn’t know what the hell I wanted to do. I knew that I was good at art stuff but was sorta lazy.

I didn’t have any money and I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life.

After 9/11 I was persuaded by the patriotic call to serve that most poor, dumb, super-macho, tough guys fall trap to and I enlisted.

I knew pretty early in 2002 that I had fucked up. After basic training, combat training and mos school, I was shipped across the country the Camp Pendleton. Honestly, that was the best place I could have gone. I worked at 1MarDiv Headquarters alongside General Mattis and Kelly which was an extreme honor. But at the end of the day, being a hard-dick 24/7 wasn’t for me.

During my last year was lucky enough to take a few art courses at Palomar College. I met @christopherpolentz who is an amazing artist and instructor who taught me how to use my eyes like an artist and designer! Dude is amazing.

After 4 years and 2 deployments to Iraq, I had enough of that bullshit, took my GI Bill and went to the design program at CCSU.

I picked up where I left off and luckily all of my prerequisites for an illustration major transferred over to graphic design. I was taught by @typebynikita this was a serious hard ass. I hated him at the time because I thought I knew everything back then. I really knew jack shit. I appreciate his teaching style more the older I get and can still hear his voice in my mind when I design anything.

Finished after fall semester 2008. And, here we are.
