Fun fact: The steels and special metals industry is competitive on a spy-like level. From manufacturing secrets and clientele to marketing language, they are always closely observing each other to stay on par with one-another. But the result is a sea of sameness when you look across all companies in the same industry.

Ulbrich wanted to get ahead of their competition, so we developed a design system to help them stand out using unique and iconic design elements to differentiate themselves online and at live events like trade shows and expos.

Inspired by their manufacturing process and refreshed mission statement, we gave them a meaningful identity that framed their products and people well, was eye-catching at variable distances, and represents this century-old brand in a way that can last for years to come.

It was really rewarding to see employees from every department feel like we really understood their process, company, and business goals in an intimate way.
