10x18 #9: Vide Noir by Lord Huron

#9 on the 10x18 countdown: Lord Huron's Vide Noir. Less folksy acoustics here and more experimental electric sounds. And it's a welcome evolution. But not so different as to feel foreign from the Lord Huron we've grown to love. Vide Noir means black void in French, and the whol album definitely explores the darker side of love, life, and "what is existence, anyway?". "Vide Noir" here is custom type. Open semi-serif looking for contemplative application. 10x18 is a yearly project curated by Eric Mortensen and skinny Ships where artists re-imagine their favorite albums of the year.
