Magnetar

Magnetars for you now!
Magnetars are, basically, neutron stars with incredibly powerful magnetic fields and rotate at a much quicker rate than normal neutron stars (from 1-10 seconds per rotation!). The star emits high energy electromagnetic radiation (x-rays & gamma rays) caused by the magnetic field's decay. They are extremely dense as only a tablespoon of it would have a mass of over 100,000,000 tonnes! At the moment, there are only 23 known magnetars with 6 waiting for confirmation.
