    thanks!! Too bad I won't actually be able to use it, because the winery is here in Ontario...we don't have landscapes like that!

    Phil, thanks! I'm planning on using some css and/or javascript to make sure the image will always stretch to fit the browser window...The background image will also be fixed, so when the user scrolls, everything will scroll except the background image.

    I don't know if it's just my relic of a machine or the technology, but doing full-size fixed position pictures for me has always caused an annoying scroll lag. At least in Firefox. Something to possibly be aware of. Also, I could probably just upgrade ;-)

    Yeah, loading a big high res background image will do that...I'm going to have to work in some sort of preloader or something like that. The website they did for the 2010 Masters ran really nicely for me: http://www.masters.com/en_US/index.html ... Does this one lag on your end?
