Skillshare: Path Operations

I have a new Skillshare class about using path operations with Photoshop’s Pen Tool. Path operations allow you to add multiple shapes to the same vector layer, slice negative space out of a silhouette, or intersect shapes in ways that allow for more complex results than the usual squares and circles.

I’ll demonstrate how to combine basic polygons to create a vector landscape from scratch.

This is the 2nd class of a series on Photoshop’s Pen Tool. I actually learned how to make vectors before learning to draw for-really-real (I know, backwards), but it’s so useful for a lot of things that I think any digital artist could make use of the Pen Tool, even if you don’t care about vector art.

I’m hoping this series makes it a little less weird/scary and more like something people will learn and combine with their traditional art fundamentals.
