Quick Tip: Bouncy Ball + Rotation

Here is a simple 4-Step tutorial on make a bouncy soccer ball with fake 3D rotations in After Effects. This technique was used on some of the animated preloader icons for Loader Volume 1 then exported as SVG animations using Lottie.

1. Create a soccer ball texture
2. Use a mask on the texture, change positioning to fake rotation
3. Pre-compose and rotate the ball
4. Create the bounce effect by adjusting scale and positioning of the pre-composed object
