Cartooned Self Portrait

Been brewing on her for a minute. Character design has intrigued me, but I didn't have the confidence to create anything.

I wanted to go to a very classic cartoon style in the vein of cartoons that I grew up with, like Doug, Daria, Ren and Stimpy, and Rocko's Modern Life. Bright colours, same-weighted lines. Then, to blend that with contemporary shows like Bob's Burgers.

It's kind of amazing—the hands used to be the least fun, hardest part. Now I REALLY LIKE DRAWING HANDS. Thanks, Inktober.
