Facebook Messenger Icons

We're really excited to tell you that @Parakeet created the iconography for the new Facebook @Messenger!

The entire set contains over 200 icons and covers everything from some basic computer things like folders and documents to some fun and silly things like an emoji bear and cheeseburger!

The new icon suite exhibits a bolder, rounder shape, which brings a great personality to Messenger. You'll find some familiar Messenger concepts reimagined in this way, like Messenger Codes or the hand wave!

To harmonize the vast array of icons, many share a common angle. Here are just three examples, though there's a lot more if you look closely!

We created three characterized views of our planet. Each view abstracts the continents and islands by using 45° angles and rounded points. We're really proud of the result being authentically Messenger and distinctly Earth.
