2018 AIA Cleveland Medal Concept

Concept design for the AIA Cleveland medal this year. They decided to keep last year's medals but I still love the way this turned out.

The black and white jumble is of an abstract sandcastle made of cubes and resembles architecture. The intent was to have the black parts etched out of acrylic, possibly at a different depth than the line work in the background.
