Sky Meets Sea

Repeated and resued differing elements create something seemingly united. This design plays with simple yet intricate shapes, transitions, and transparencies to create an abstract illustration of the sky and the sea.

Within the gradient blue sits a set of congruent blocks that create a stepped illusion. The transitional blue represents the sea and the blocks represent ice. Within the gradiating magenta and orange sits a glowing yellow orb with an array of rings surrounding it, along with a warped grid consisting of a mirrored reflection of the congruent blocks below. The orb represents the rising and setting sun, the rings its rays, and the grid represents clouds.
