Young Archaeologist and Explorer Society – Map Front and Back

About the Map

The front is a smaller experience inside a paid exhibit that tasks guests with answering questions based on Egyptian artifacts. It eventually unearths the solution to a joke. On the back is a larger experience that tasks guests with solving clues as different labs throughout the museum. This is a sly way of getting them to the labs where extra activities are set up and they can dive deeper into archaeology with one of our educators.

This experience on the back of the map is free. We wanted to create experiences that would take guests throughout the whole museum, but also weren’t completely pay-to-play (because that’s lame). Once guests solve the back, they’re able to use an embossing station to stamp their certificate.
