Birth of the World (1/6)

This editorial project was inspired by a story Rachel Naomi Remen shared with Krista Tippett on her 'On Being' podcast. It is a narrative about the birth of the world - an accident that caused little fragments of light to spill into all people and events - and how to this day these fragments remain hidden inside each of us, waiting to be discovered and shared with others, thereby restoring the wholeness of the world.

During the design process I explored how the meaning of words could be visually manifested through typographic illustration and composition.
