Music through all the senses

Through this poster I designed as a promotional A5 flyer sent to record labels, I wanted to reach the full scope of music on these days. On one hand the analog music shown here by the illustration with the turntable and the wire, and on the other hand the dematerialized music expressed by the typefaces.

These two fonts were published in 1988.

Exit font was designed by Fabrizio Schiavi and you can see the relationship to Neville Brody’s work as he said himself. Here, with a slightest change of color hue we can highlight the geometric serifs to get the pixelish desired effect.

Oblong font, designed by Emigre, is quite similar but offers better readability at small sizes with its lowest corpus size.
