These days I've been living, breathing, loving and hating design. I have been trying to get things done, but I realise that execution is not the problem. The actual problem is the business. And without business, there is no music, as Dan Bull says in one of his earlier song (bonus points for the reference there). Talking to clients should be clear cut and wholly directed in the framework you work in. They shouldn't even realise it they are treated like a normal customer, because of the interest you put in searching for the problem. Because if there is no problem, there is nothing to solve. We don't do graphics for good graphics, we don't add to our portfolios, we solve problems that are primary in today's line of work.

Well, maybe one day I'll start consulting. For now, I'm just a worker. A brick layer. But I'm not waiting. Any designers who feel the same, leave your thoughts below.
