Crisis of Confidence

In 1979 President Jimmy Carter delivered a speech to America dubbed ‘the malaise speech’ which examined the nation’s deterioration of values. Putting self-worth into things owned, lacking trust in the government, in marriage, the future of the country. I created a deck of cards around this called Crisis of Confidence taken from that speech, examining events during 1969-1979 that challenged the American Dream, in ways, both good and bad, the consequences of those events can still be felt today.
