    @Filip Pietroń you can change your shapes to guides in illustrator, it's as easy as right-clicking on your selected shape and choosing "make guides", the guides can come out as dotted lines or just plain lines, depending on how you set them in the preferences...

    You can even adjust the highlight colors there :)

    @Glen Thorpe Nope, just same changes of the guide colors and style from solid lines to dotted lines in Illustrator. No magic :)
