DBDG -- Logo Development (100 concepts)

*100 Logo Concepts*
I'm designing a logo for a client and he was expecting 3-10 concepts. I handed him 100 concepts.

You need to stand on a pile of crap to reach the best new ideas. The first 20-40 ideas should come with minimal effort and it should feel like a stretch to reach 100 concepts in one sitting.

*Abstract*

Design a logo for Design Build Development Group using a simple, utilitarian typeface that is ubiquitous as the letterforms seen in back roads and industrial yards across North America.

Immediately recognizable and timeless. Evocative of expertise and precision — a subconscious understanding that this entity has outlasted all that have come before and will continue to outlast all that comes after it.

Timeless. Iconic. Precise.

Free of the latest trends and ironic twists, it is painfully functional and unapologetic! This is a logo you’d see in an alley or junkyard, painted on corrugated steel siding, or, ghosted on some old brick wall.
