The finished identity for the hair salon & the monograms...done! The monogram on the left is for general application. The monogram on the right is intended for application on napkins/towels/more porous surfaces which make replicating the details more challenging: it eliminates the embellishments within the letterforms and widens the negative spaces (just a bit). Phase I done!

Phase 2 - Signage for each salon location.

That's excellent, I didn't realize you'd be doing the signage as well. Will definitely look forward to seeing that!

Nicely handled for the different monogram versions. The amount of embellishments on the left hand one is just right, it works perfectly at a smaller size. (I know, I know, compliments again but this all look really good, so tough!)

Thanks Claire. I am a bit nervous handing off the files and knowing I will not be able to see the printed samples, but...I'll rely on my former client (who is serving as the middleman between myself and the clients in St. Petersburg) to be my eyes and ears there. He is a very trustworthy client who knows the value of design and will definitely keep me posted. Just...would be nice to do it in person...in St. Petersburg!

Ugh yes I know what you mean. At least you have someone trustworthy there though! (and hopefully get you some good pictures too).

  5. This is the next stage in the identity for the hair salon in St. Petersburg. Logo + banner for the front of the store. As of this point, I have no idea what dimensions the sign will be, and the lockup may very well change, But for now, I'll assume it will be a rectangular sign above the door, hence the proportions for this version.

  6. The installed identity and monogram for the identity project in St. Petersburg, Russia. Looks pretty good, but I think a bit got lost in the translation due to use of thick white strokes and almost complete invisibility of the letter highlights. Nonetheless, I'm happy with it, and most importantly, the client is happy with it!
