Expo '55 - Indian War Canoes

Inspired by the happiest place on earth, this whimsical series explores the unsung heroes of the park; the ride vehicles.

These rather large wooden canoes have been a mainstay in Frontierland since 1956. This isn't a "sit back and relax" ride. But rather a treacherous workout consisting of bruised knuckles, wet faces, and a ton of fun. What started as the Indian War Canoes, and later renamed the Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes once Disneyland's Indian Village closed, has fulfilled every explorer's dream of searching the Western Frontier.
