NSCAD Graduation Catalogue 2015
During my internship at The Anna Leonowens Gallery, my main task was to design and manage the production of the university's graduation catalogue for 2015.
The full scope of the project includes a print and online catalogue, promotional material and graphics for the exhibition.
I created a visual representation of NSCAD’s kaleidoscope by using the lion statues and a variety of marks. The colours were chosen to represent the diversity of the NSCAD community. Each colour variation creates a triad that links to NSCAD's motto: head, heart, hand.
After various other cover concepts, I finally landed on the kaleidoscope. The pattern was printed on ultra glossy paper and had a full page book flaps on both sides.
The kaleidoscope pattern was applied to all promotional material including the Catalogue Launch and Family Night invitations, event signage, temporary tattoos, bookmarks and a cake! In addition to event materials, the kaleidoscope pattern was also used for NSCAD President Dianne Taylor-Gearing's Inauguration Ceremony gown.
This project is part of an internship at The Anna Leonowens Gallery.
