Life Sustaining Icons

These illustrated icons appear in the Common Ground illustration, but are featured separately here. These five icons represent food, water, light, oxygen, and shelter (or habitat, or abode). Symbolic of the things that life needs to sustain itself, these icons share a common complementary color palette and a clean, simplified illustration style. Although the process is a bit more complicated, suffice to say that each was drawn and rendered in Illustrator and only the shadows and mottled background were added in Photoshop, for presentation purposes.
