Folder Icons

Folder icons typically use only one variation of folder, with the tab on the left (unless the folder is turned horizontal where the right tab is used).

As an extra detail, what if the tab position of the folder was also used to convey status. This could be especially useful in situations like FTP clients where folders either belong to the server or the host machine or the folder is shared between both sides.
