Approaching Sub-Menus

I'm currently designing a responsive site for a client and wanted to think of a tasteful way to have a secondary menu without it being in the way... I'm still proofing this out, but I'm liking the direction.

What do you think?

Oh, also, this project is currently involving fullscreen versions of photography I shot. Pretty stoked about that.
