At times, multiple form fields overwhelm users – they might even find it tedious to input so much information.
Progressive disclosure (showing information or action only when a user needs it) helps a user maintain focus by reducing clutter and confusion.
In this instance, the user is asked to complete just a single action at each step. A clear progress status indicator aids the user in determining how much time is it going to take to finish this particular task.
