    Fujifilm FinePix X100, rear view. The renders are taking 8 hours+. I'll be uploading more views (close-ups, hopefully) as soon as I can render them.

    Nice, are you using vRay for this ? And a quick question, do you use a leather pattern for your pump or just on of the basic noise from c4d ?

    @Steffan Lund Just the default physical renderer. I've only just discovered vRay for C4D, although I used it for years on Max. I like the fact that even the specular layers are physically-correct and raytraced.

    The leather displacement texture (not bump!) is a free tileable jpg I got off Google.

    @Steffan Thanks to your question, I started experimenting with a "cranal" procedural noise texture in the bump map slot. Results are similar to my image above, only faster and resolution-independent.
