Feedback App

This is a first for me.

Why?

It is the first time I created a design for a fictive app – just for fun without any real project behind it. Every other design you'll find here on Dribbble or anywhere else (I think?) was for a real project with a real client. And almost always I also worked on the concept and did some research. In some cases I even developed (the website).

So why start designing a fictive app now?
Because I just was in the mood – and more importantly: I recognized, that I was putting out WAY to many illustrations lately. Especially when you take into account, that I don't even want to get hired for illustrations. So after I was sharing a long video of me illustrating in my Instagram story again yesterday – I just thought: Damned, I have to share more of the things I do professionally. And everyone who has worked on an app from beginning (research & concept) to "end" (pattern library or even design system) knows, how much work that is. So naturally I don't pop out app design after app design every other week.

So why not honing my design skills and having fun a bit with stuff like this?

Of course creating a fictive design and working on a real app is by no means the same. As you will see, the work I do for clients looks really different. It has to, because I am designing FOR a specific company, user, context. There are so many factors to be considered and that play into the final result. And if you ask me, this is what actually makes designing fun. To design and work within those constraints. To create something awesome for the user in a specific context but also for my client and the context of that company.

By the way, if you ask yourself: What the hell is this even? This is supposed to be a "feedback" app. Much like what I imagine Dribbble could be like.

I am interested in your take on this!
