QforQuran Logo
The distinct new QforQuran logo was inspired by the purpose of the application where a circle of contributors of a reading event come together to complete a challenge. The clever ‘Q’ shape logo icon incorporates the Arabic word ‘Iqra’ (read), the first word revealed from Allah upon the Prophet (peace and blessings upon him). The essence of the app is to get people to read Quran so this Arabic word has lots of significance. While constructing the logo, we used the Golden Ratio for the spacing between the circles and as a measure of proportion between different parts. This divine proportion can be seen in nature and many famous works of art or architectural wonders such as the Taj Mahal. Finally, the shade of green was carefully selected to give a modern feel.
