Telegraph hero block

This hero block in the The Telegraph's website taught me everything I know about layout.

The design team wanted to "break the grid" to match the feeling that the print paper had for certain areas.

Our team did this before there was CSS grid. Lots of floats and positioning magic. Check out the live site
