OWL is a smart city sensor that identifies and tracks common traffic violations such as: Wrong Direction, High Speed and Parking. It is a tiny device (the size of an apple) equipped with an infrared camera and LTE connection. OWL uses blockchain technology to record violations and avoid removal or modification by third parties. Each setup is designed as a hub, where other sensors measure air pollution and noise levels which can easily be plugged into.
When a driver enters the street in a wrong direction, OWL detects the car and takes a picture of it. OWL's AI System identifies the license plate of the car and uploads the data into secured blockchain system. A driver immediately receives SMS with detailed information of traffic violation and a payment method.
