Tsukemono (Japanese pickles) have been enjoyed as the traditional foods to preserve vegetables and fruits, as well as, enhance the taste of them.
For fit inside a refrigerator pocket, we created a portable pickle maker called "Picklestone”.
Simply add some veggie off-cuts and pickle brine (typically salt, chili pepper, and konbu kelp) to the jar and put a stone and wooden lid over the vegetables.
