Makeba by Jain

It's been long since I took up a personal project. Thanks to my son, this happened. Ian, my one year old stumbled on to this song on Vh1 as I was browsing through channels and I could see he was instantly hooked. Had it not been for him glued to the screen, I wouldn't have noticed it myself. Since then every time it came on TV (thanks to the Levis ad), he'd get up and start dancing. And so, like everything he loves to do, it became an endless loop. I wont complain because it IS indeed good. Jain's voice, the beats and the music has a unique style to it. I never got tired of it and one late night as he danced like the usual hyper active one year old, I started working on this. 3 hours in, I was happy how my rusty Illustrator skills had churned something 'serviceable'.

Below is the final output. Blended the vector art with some Photoshop and voila.
