Roadside Picnic

I was working on book cover illustration for Strugatsky brothers’ inspirational science fiction novel Roadside Picnic, which was the motivation for Andrey Tarkovsky’s 1979 film Stalker and referenced games such as Metro 2033 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. Highly recommended if you're into post-apocalyptic novels.

I found fascinating the theme of sacralised alien artefacts and emphasise on the cover by using divine style combined with a geometric touch.
