The Daylight

Hey.

Today, I really felt like playing with layering and see what cool effects I could come up with. The results were great! and I found myself having way too much fun. Eventually, I noticed my creation was looking more and more like a sun. So I gave it warm colouring, added his "ray" effect and voila, I had a sun.

The cool part was adding other planets. Playing around with the layering gave me these cool satellites to orbit the sun. Though I think it suffers from a lack of accuracy. I doubt anything that big could be that close to the sun. But, for the sake of this design, let's just say it's from a certain unattainable perspective in outer space.

I wanted to keep outer space white, as I felt it contrasted well with the bright warm glow of the sun. Of course, adding text made it look more "logical". The body of text this time is relevant. In descending order, it lists the sun's Radius, Mass, and Surface Area.

If I can find the time, there's a cool gif idea I want to make that features a planet revolving around the sun, with the sun's rays bouncing off it. Trust me, it'll look sick if it ever comes into existence.

Enjoy 🙂
