Scribd- "Down for Maintenance"

Part of the system of empty and error state illustrations done for Scribd's 2016-17 rebrand project.

This is the image for when Scribd is down for maintenance. Not going to lie, this might be my favorite illustration I did on this project.

The spot illustration colors were adapted to this more subdued palette to help further emphasize the empty/error user cases. I kept a single accent color on the focus element to help tie it to the context.
