Book Design: The Colour of Film

The Colour of Film shows how colour and cinematography has an effect on film. The book includes examples of iconic movies with memorable use of colour and explains how colour has contributed to the characters, scenery and overall story. Focusing on the colours of the films themselves using colour palettes and imagery from the film, the design of the book remains relatively simple yet playful with the use of lower case, sans serif text. Each chapter focuses on a different colour, each containing six films that use a specific colour frequently or as a device or motif.
