Montana Grizzlies

Team 9/32 of #TheUFLProject – the Montana Grizzlies.

The Montana Grizzlies franchise is named after its official state mammal, the North American brown bear, as it is the home to over half of the decreasing grizzly bear population in the continental United States. Most of this population has become threatened over the last century, with an estimated 1,500 still dwelling in the lower 48 states, making the grizzly bear unique to Montana.

Like the state of Montana, grizzly bears are awe-inspiring products of nature. The largest carnivore in the U.S. can be spotted feeding in salmon streams, roaming white-bark pine sites, and digging their winter dens in mountain slopes for hibernation. While not normally a predatory animal, grizzly bears turn aggressive when defending themselves or offspring, responding to danger by standing their ground and averting attackers with their massive size.

The Grizzlies’ colors are inspired by the nature of Montana, with a dark prussian blue uniform and golden-fur and light silver sage accents. The primary bear logo is present on both the helmets and off-colored sleeves, and the word mark is crafted to be aggressive and sturdy.
