Sprichwörtlich - Einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen

We decided to animate German sayings and take them literally... "Einen Strich durch die Rechnung machen" (literally: to strike through a calculation) could be translated with "to queer somebody's pitch" or "to thwart somebody's plans".
