Representing the Flavor of Gin

How do you represent something as complex— and as subjective as taste? That's what I've been doing for the last eight years as writer/designer for TheGinIsIn.com. I've researched some of the general descriptors gin drinkers use to describe a spirit to friends and other gin drinkers. This visualization represents the relative "strength" of certain flavor profiles in a gin. Although taste is certainly subjective, some aspects of a flavor profile aren't necessarily so.
