Poster for emmersive theatre play in Vienna "Re:Play"

We're creating the visual of a play hosted by "Netzzeit" in Vienna. Our objective was not to only create a poster but a strong visual icon/avatar that can be transported to other channels e.g. printed on bags, postcards, stamps, stickers, etc. We created a comic avatar that is slightly, subtly offensive. Some of its elements are grounded in vintage disney characters that are now seen as racist and politically not correct. We paired it with Pacman eyes to have the connection to game. We tried to keep it mostly clean in order to stand out from other (hopefully mediocre) poster designs within the city. Music in the play is produced by Clemens Wegner from 5/8 in Ehren, and the drama is done bei Harald Reiweger from Tag 8.
