Illustration #1 from Music by Nature

This series of illustrations started off as a commissioned piece for a still unpublished article titled “Music by Nature”. The text explores relationship between musical processes and nature, and the idea of how for centuries musicians have tried to render the natural world, or the natural sciences, into a musical form.

System, rhythm, repetition, mechanism, pattern, cycle were but a handful of words that ventured into my thoughts while I was making attempts to visualize this very delicate and inspiring thing called “sound” ;)
