Kiddom iOS Components

One of my favorite things about helping people and technology adapt to one another through design, is learning about the time spent away from devices. Figuring out what known and unknown problems to solve, how people feel at what points in time, and what ideas that non-designers have. There is so much information out there to be used as resources for inspiration.

While leading product design for Kiddom, the strategic approach we decided on was to create a branded visual and interaction design ecosystem. Rather than relying solely on platform-native design patterns, creating a consistent brand experience across web, iOS, and Android helps teachers educate one another on how to use it.

Given so many apps to try and burn out on these days, we decided that it's important to create as close to a singular experience as possible. It's a pleasant surprise when things work in a familiar way on all screens and devices, in a world of fragmented digital experiences. The best advocates of ed tech software tend to spread the word amongst themselves, given the information-sharing culture of educators.
