Red Sox Scores: August 16, 2017

Game No. 120

Boston has had a penchant for dramatic wins all season and Wednesday night was no exception. Trailing the Cardinals by two runs in the bottom of the ninth, Xander Bogaerts hit a solo home run to tighten the gap. A few batters later, Mookie Betts hit a double high off the Green Monster to drive in Chris Young and Jackie Bradley Jr., who stormed home from first, making for a nail-biting play at the plate but waking off with the victory.

For every Red Sox game this season, @Amy Parker and I are visualizing the final score. Our ground rules: scores must be posted before the first pitch of the next game and must represent the final score. Home games are on a white background, away games on black, and the Red Sox are always red. Follow the whole project here or get weekly recaps in your inbox.
