Sometimes you work super hard on a product feature and it never sees the light of day! Such was the fate of this modular property editor panel. We're opting to instead make a more advanced editor state the default because of our highly technical userbase and the many implementation issues which arose within our architecture allowing for 3rd Party developers to author their own properties.
I've included some of my process in this shot. On the left is an earlier stage wireframe revealing the 1-3-4 column breakdown for each property as well as other alignment rules and content placeholders. The final UI on the right incorporates the real product complexities including state, actions, bindings and what I'm calling sub properties.
