Do you guys ever struggle to have deep, focused, non-distracted work? It happens to the best of us.
At Underbelly, we've been working on instituting "blackout" hours where we're all heads down, plugged in, and cranking without being distracted by all the usual suspects – meetings, Slack, notifications, pop-ins, and funny cat gifs.
A couple of us thought it would be fun to build a simple Mac app that allowed us to track our hours on projects, use a pomodoro-like timer, and mute distractions by hiding the dock and muting notifications. Bonus: We'd turn on a small light on top of our display via USB. Hardware meets software... yesssss.
What do you think, would you guys find this useful? How do you avoid distractions during the day?
Made with the sometimes-distracted but always-thoughtful team at Underbelly.
